Local Programs. Lasting Impact.

Designed to meet youth where they are and support them as they grow.

Program Overview

Our programs combine proven instructional practices with creative, youth-centered approaches that make golf accessible and engaging. Grounded in decades of experience, each offering is designed to support confidence, skill development, and continued participation– meeting young people where they are and helping them grow over time.

From first exposure to next steps, our programs are built to remove barriers and foster a lasting connection to the game.

Understanding the Landscape & Guiding Youth Forward

Access to golf doesn’t exist in isolation. It depends on facilities, coaches, school programs, affordability, transportation and timing — factors that vary widely from one community to the next.

We take time to understand the local golf ecosystem and how young people move within it. That means paying attention to what opportunities exist, where gaps remain, and what support youth and families need to navigate next steps.

This guidance allows young people to move forward in ways that make sense for them.

Evanston Youth Golf

Evanston Youth Golf is rooted in long-standing relationships and a deep commitment to the Evanston community. The program grew from early efforts to introduce youth golf opportunities at the city’s public course and has evolved into a welcoming entry point for young people interested in learning the game.

Guided by the experience and leadership of Peter Donahue, the program reflects a philosophy centered on patience, access, and long-term growth. Over time, the course and the program have grown together, most recently through a major renovation that has strengthened the space as a hub for youth learning and community engagement.

The program is closely connected to the broader Evanston golf ecosystem, including the local high school program, where Peter’s coaching has helped shape a culture of growth, teamwork, and achievement. That same commitment carries through Evanston Youth Golf—creating an inclusive, supportive environment designed to open doors, build confidence, and help young people see what’s possible through the game.

“Peter’s contributions to community golf can not only be acknowledged and celebrated but also be used as a blueprint for how this work can be done in other communities like Evanston.”
